Presbhd post Big QR loss. SKIN terminated, no chance for revival.

NO compensation from the Govt. Suit against the Govt will take years.

Since Presbhd suing the Govt, I suspect NO new contract for them.

Therefor, I suspect coming few QR will also be loss.

NO positive catalyst for Presbhd for now.

Hi zerocool7199,

Come 22 July 2019, there will be no compensation from the Govt.

Thats why Prebhd is suing the Govt for 733mil as the Govt and Presbhd cannot come to an agreement on the compensation amount during their negotiation.

Now the matters is in the hands of the High Court. High Court might not agree with the amount that Presbhd demanded and give lower compensation depending on the presentation of case by both side.

Furthermore, the losing side can appeal to Appeal Court.

After that, the losing side can appeal to Federal Court.

All this LONG court process will likely take YEARS.

PLUS

Any compensation received by Presbhd after that may not benefit the minority shareholders.

Without immediate compensation then presbhd will sure be deslisted in 2 to 3 years time.. Pls don't blame gov... It is just managnt greedy.. Gov lose nothing.. 10 years later gov can afford to pay 700m but presbhd will not be around by then so gov not need to pay a single cents.

Yes...during the negotiation months ago (which I aldy stated many times b4)...the compensation quoted was around the range of 50-70 mil...

Yes, its a damn small amount....smacks of strong arm (behind the scene) tactics by the PH govt.

And yes we have laws...but its painstakingly slow and there are many rounds of appeals and procedures...

It was a well known news among the companies trying to bid/lobby for the new tender, as the new project cannot be retendered until the compensation issues is closed.

How do you judge presbhd as greedy? Unless you know the what's stipulated in the concession agreement.. if presbhd is entitled to 700mil in accordance to the compensation formula in the agreement then how are they being greedy?

some govt tender works differently....sometimes the compensation is based on the percentage of work agreed to be done...

and in software development project, that are a lot big grey areas.....

example : how do you justify the mobilisation of your team (salaries and overheads) as 'work done' and paying them while waiting for tasks like requirement gathering and studies to be completed?

Let say the milestone in contract is 1 mil at that point of time, but you have invested 10 mil for the initial setup and salaries....unfortunately u can only claim based on 1 mil....

And there is the future loss of income....which is going to be a ding dong negotiation process.

Instead of continuing the project which is self-funded in a way where it would generate income to pay of the cost. Furthermore, government doesn't need to pay a single cent until it is up and running.. they choose to terminate it and create all these unnecessary hassle.. well done LGE and muhyiddin.. absolute idiots..
