67 PPR, PA projects in KL to be installed with new elevators - Ismail Sabri
KUALA LUMPUR: All 67 People’s Housing (PPR) and Public Housing (PA) projects in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur are expected to be installed with new elevators in two years’ time, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pix, centre).
He said Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has allocated RM127 million for replacement of old lifts at the PPR and PA projects.
Ismail Sabri said work on the elevator replacement is expected to begin early next year after the contract procurement process is completed.
“In any PPR project, lifts are essential to allow residents to move about and the government views this problem (old and damaged lifts) seriously.
“I hope the procurement process can be expedited and the time taken (for lift replacement) could be one to two years, depending on the contract and the number of blocks at each PPR,“ he told a press conference after visiting Seri Perak PA here, today.
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 8): CGS-CIMB Research believes that EITA Resources Bhd deserves a better valuation as the elevator and escalator maker aims to enhance its overseas revenue.
The research house reiterated its "buy" call on the stock and raised its post-bonus issue
target price to RM 2.08
The target price of RM2.08 values the stock at 20 times CY22F P/E (from 10.5 times) which CGS-CIMB said is at about a 30% discount to the global elevator makers’ weighted average 12-month forward P/E of 31 times.
