The recent announcements of substantial shareholders buying FGV and broker upgrade of the stock helped it recover quickly to 2.00 yesterday. No crystal ball but it looks like there is a significant event at 2.00 and this must be completed first before FGV can move on. Keep eye on big picture. Believe new A-Z team will steadily put FGV back on the radar of serious investors. Hehe

@Buy - but due to these past two days trade, it seems someone is collecting the stock bits by bits.
Monday - 1880 to 1950
Tuesday - 1950 to 2030
I am no expert too .. but looking at the way how the counter perform, I think the counter will probably move up back to RM2.10 at leasT?

Coming QR will be good as plantation production increased and raw sugar price was lower during Q4.

Previous QR not doing so well because plantation sector earning offset by losses in sugar sector as raw sugar increased. Raw sugar price had gone down to 14- 16 ctns from 18 - 20 ctns.

FGV own 50% stake of MSM. MSM will annouce QR this week. Lets see the QR then we will have some idea about FGV QR next week.

@contrarian Please lookup TPs(target price) of various research houses. Almost all of them have TP <2.00 for fgv. None have upgraded TP so far. Wait for quarterly results. It may be inflated by extraordinary gains of disposal of assets, a one-time gain. In the meantime, enjoy your gains - it's after all election play. ;)

Its trying to break free from the about 2.00 level resistance. Can it make a clean break? Lets see the closing today. If the 2.00 selling event is finally over, stock should rise to new level fairly quickly.

With MSM results like that, FGV's results may not be that good. Fortunately, markets tend to be looking forward and big picture medium term is positive. The A-Z team will steadily put the company back on growth track and on the radar of serious investors. Bursa announcement that substantial shareholders continued to buy on Monday after the CNY break is positive. No crystal ball but expect more buying interests and further upgrades by brokers going forward. Keep eye on big picture and Happy Investing! Hehe

Pan Borneo Highway a catalyst so Sarawak and Sabah(hence Kretam takeover) land should worth more? FGV has a lot of land in Sarawak and Sabah. Beside FGV has Pahang land where ECRL will be built.

With China unlimited import and GE rally, I can't see why won't hit 2.2 within near term. Now IB already stated 2018 will be turnaround year for FGV. From TA, RSI and MACD show bullish sign. Previous dropped, I suspect they push down to collect more, as insider knew the result will be good. Else ,why this week,the shareprice recovering fast while market unstable. Somemore, today 3pm will release their qtr result with fb live, if result not good, do you guys think, will they slap their own face with so high profile? Usually IB will upgrade the TP after result, so more to come for.FGV. TP 2.5 during GE is not a dream, but is achievable. I heard TP rm2 when it was rm1.7. I laughed. Now I regret why I didn't take more while it's still cheap. Same as Drb.

Not so sure results will be good - probably not fair to expect new A-Z team to make positive impact on bottom line yet. But if results good, it would be a bonus and hope price will then quickly move to next level. Even if results not good, markets are always looking forward and so could still react positively if new A-Z team give positive guidance together with results, reinforcing the turnaround big picture story on FGV. Lets hope for the best! Hehe
