doesn't matter on announcement date, each company may announce at different times. important one is the ex date.

sure it do, if the dividend is high, the stock sure jump like crazy, just like GAB recently. So, anyone else can answer my question?

most major and important announcements are after after the market closed. however i do observe that some general announcements are released at anytime during the day.
also, for companies that plan to release major announcement during the day, they may request for a trading halt for that day or session.

hi everyone, i have a question about dividend announcement date, let say the date is 23/12/2011 , which is today, normally what time the announcement occur, 9 am? 12.30 pm? or after 5pm? someone please kindly answer me, ty =)
