i have been playing since the surge of 300% petronm-cb. 12.9 - 12. even to 11.8-12. is a healthy region. nothing to afraid of. Crack spread during Q3 and Q4 is much higher than Q1 and Q2 . IF Q3 can deliver good results why not Q4?

hi stillbee ... i am no expert but we can learn together. can u tell me more about your observation on the chart ? bearish bias ? the reasons ? are u saying that price may either (1) retrace to retest the support turned resistance level - red arrows or (2) continues her southbound journey without any retracement - purple arrows ?

Bbit .. the only guidance u need is the followings :-
1) does momentum trading suit my personality ?
2) buy high sell higher - can i trade this way consistently ? can i manage this psychologically ?
3) chasing high / breakouts - am i able to set my cut loss at a logical level just so i won't be stopped out prematurely ? is my risk/reward ratio acceptable if i set my stop too low ? (note u may be chasing after a BIG GREEN CANDLE and if your stop loss say 1 bid lower than the low of that green candle, are u still able to have a good risk/reward)
4) if your answer is affirmative to all of the above, then by all means learn momentum trading to the core and trade this methodology with confidence and consistency :)

Connie, so you see the price rebound from 1730 to either break above (3) or go down below 1730 from (3) . Question -
(i) why don't you think it will break below 1730 now?
(ii) if it rebound from 1730 and subsequently go down from (3) wouldn't 1730 be a stronger support since already tested a few times?

1) i expect a rebound from 1730 cuz this is a strong support area that may warrant some reactions .. from here we will see whether the bears will take over when price reaches a resistance level
2) i expect a rebound from 1730 cuz very often when a pattern (in this case a triangle) is broken price will retest the boundary of the pattern
3) intra-day, price did break 1730 now but we need to see closing for confirmation
4) i put a target at 1710 to complete the double-top chart pattern .. but this is NO guarantee (still need to monitor the fight between bulls and bears on daily basis) ... thing is when i look at the chart i need a story just so i can complete the story if possible .. else i don't know what to plan etc etc
p/s - resistance / support are not specifically ONE line .. ONE price. we have to look at the zone .. if we scroll to the left of daily, we can see that the ZONE between 1710 and 1730 is very congested and thus not a bad idea to focus on this ZONE rather than ONE LEVEL !!

1710 is a classic computation using double-top pattern .. and it also coincides with the congested support zone as pointed earlier .. but take a look also at the interesting 200EMA support at the weekly when price dipped brutally !! perhaps that's also a level to look out for yes ?? :)
