Solid competency! That's how to decribe Khairy! A true 'A' in how to manage things!
Many doubts Khairy as MOH! But barely 100 days, Khairy already turn even the most avid critics! He is again, showing off his administration skill! Another job well done after handling few ministry!
Which is how a politician should be!
The procurement of vaccines in very early stage was actually very very tough job! Remember, Malaysia is not the only country that was sourcing for Covid vaccines! Every single nation tried to secure their supply!
Anwar was the first to make full frontal attack against Khairy over vaccine procurement! And Khairy made a very clinical statement in reply! Khairy didn't even bother over game of thrones played by Anwar Zahid tag teaming!
Khairy was focus and remain steadfast!
In the end, we saw Khairy hardwork pays off big time! Malaysia has achieve a very remarkable 95% mass vaccination among adults! That's much higher than Isreal of 80%!
And Khairy decision to not place all eggs in one basket also pays off! Instead of solely depend on Ptizer or Sinovac, we also get the much controversial Astrazeneca! But malaysians were much more patriotic! When Khairy decide to offer quarter million Astrazeneca jabs which were not recognised, malaysians quickly grab the initially bunch! Yeah, didn't even last an hour on the offer! All taken up super fast!
Myself also took Astrazeneca! And i am very glad i did! It seems Astrazeneca is the best option on the table as it's effectiveness last much longer than Ptizer and Moderna!
And now a new antiviral that may get emergency authorisation in US may be also available in Malaysia as Khairy quickly moves in to negotiate with Merck!
With that, Malaysia may be among few that will emerge from this pandemic!

Now people are comparing Anwar and Khairy! And i tell you, if Khairy decide to form new party, i believe majority will back him up! As for Anwar, sadly he resort to lies to stay relevance!
I mean, do you serious think government actually paid 2 billions to outside consultants to prepare MP12! It's a ridiculous accusation that only kindergarden level politician would make! But at last, Anwar is Anwar! Provocation is his main weapon! When it comes to performing, Anwar is total 'F'! You should know better if you really examine his past records! Looking at other countries, Brunei can't even mass vaccinate it's tiny 300k population! Australia can't even procure supply for it's citizens! Badly manage but thankfully their citizens are just as ignorant!

Tak payah talk to joko pun. Indo antara negara yg paling rendah buat test covid. Kalimantan, papua, sumatera tu berapa banyak tempat dia tak masuk check. That what happen to Thailand and Vietnam. Mula2 dulu kes sgt rendah. But suddenly number climbing high every day after they start realize sooner or later they have to do mass testing.

My friend in Jakarta told me that they don't even have enough resource to cover mass testing in indonesia let alone covering almost 800 island in that country. The testing in Sumatra, Kalimatan, sulawasi, papua are very low. Many un-reported cases and fatality especially from those in remote places in the country not reported because indonesia simply dont have enough resource to do that. They only hoping for their people to turn up in hospital and data will be taken from there. Indonesia is the worst example.

Ahbah! So i assume we should learn from Indonesia! Only report Covid if they finally land up in hospitals! But ignore those who can't make it! As for mass testing, only test those who enters hospitals! Dont' do any mass testing at all! No test No infection! Should be order of the day!
Let those infected die on their own! Let their kins bury them! Let them get infected as well! Let this cycle continues and remain unreported! Of course, in the near future, a new variant called 'Indon' may spread around the world!

Answer : Whatever Indonesia has, we certainly don't! I mean, Malaysia despite 95% mass vaccination fail badly against Indonesia that only vaccinate 30% of it's population!

Ahbah! We may hit 90% fully vaccinated today! So tomorrow PM may announce interstate travels! So for me, i leave it as such! At the moment, i am not so interested about other countries and how they deal with Covid!

Answer : So yeah! Finally antiviral should be available next year if Khairy got good deal with Merck! That should cut hospitalization and also cut healthcare cost! Hospitalization is a very expensive thingy! Even for public hospitals, one day lying down on the bed, is not cheap! For private, you are talking about 10k a day!

you need to look more at the actual covid daily infection rate, which is a more accurate indicator of how a country's covid issue is being managed

australia for example has only a 55% vaccination rate, but their covid daily infection rate is 15 times lower than malaysia
