In the beningging, perhaps Umno had a genuine mission! To uplift majority malays out of poverty!
Indeed, after merdeka, majority malays were very backward! With very little education and only the royals who had access to modern education provided by British!
In fact Tunku Abdul Rahman spoke very fluent british english unlike our leaders nowadays who speak mainly in manglish! And sadly, we are so proud of our manglish thinking it's the real spoken english!
Okay, so Umno has been in power for over 60 years now! However, Mahathir until today lament that malays are lazy, untrustworthy and always take the easy way out! But we know Mahathir is talking about himself and Umno leaders! Because Mahathir is the one that produced all the corrupted malay politicians that we came to know today!
You name it, A to Z! All are produce of Mahathir politicial engineering for half a century!
In fact, Umno today is like those branded shoes! Basically produce in cheap factories around the world and just adding some brands, mark up the price by 1000%!
Umno today is really led by fake malays! Zahid Hamidi is not even a malay! His parents came from Indonesia! Najib is so proud of his Indonesia background! Ku Nan is another Indon who claim his royal blood from Indonesia! Of course, you have the mamaks running around shouting 'Demi bangsa, agama dan negara'!
Perhaps the only true malay party is Pas! But just look at them! They have not progress since ancient times! Remain the same just like the day British left the room!
Basically all of this malay parties are run by jokers! But what can i say! It is what it is!
But the essence is, Umno is more interested to turn malays into their brainwashed voters!
Today, you hardly see real malays! Arabination has gone to lunacy level! Back in the 80s, you hardly see any malay ladies put on tudung! Today, you won't find many who let their hair freely on public! Unfortunately, malay ladies accept this as islamic thingy! No, it's not! It's all about control and submission! Eventually you see malay men too wearing those long arab robes just like in Saudi!
Wearing your religion is as good as submitting to the new colonizer! And the colonizer is Umno!

You know, the British was not interested in colonizing malaya back in the days! In fact you cannot call British as colonizer! They didn't invade malaya! The British was invited by the royals back then!
The Dutch indeed invade Malacca but only Malacca! The Dutch didn't invade the whole malaya!
Our history book is so fabricated and the real truth totally thrown out the window!
Umno has done too much damage to our history! But giving the true vision of history may upset local chinese and indian! I mean, i won't say it, but the true version of how we came to malaya will certainly get a huge thumbs down! So yeah, we rather stick to the fairy tale version!
Today, Umno is more Pas that Pas itself! Umno pursue RUU355 because, by brainwashing malays, they hope Umno will remain party of choice in centuries to come!
However, rakyat are not so naive! Umno leaders are now so corrupted, they define corruption to a whole new level! As Hadi stressed, corruption is not a crime! Corruption is not even immorally!
