First thing first! This one off 33% corporate tax for 2022 only! Government has to find new revenue! That is why lawmakers especially on Harapan side, please don't play with anti GST again!
Anyway, yeah, some knee jerk no doubut bursa already anticipated this and already drop alot!
It's not going to be implement immediate! Only next year, one time off! Personally i think this is buy on dip thingy!
To be frank, many PLCs have suffered during this pandemic! For those with heavy losses for the past 2 years, this one time tax won't matter much to them as they can shift any profit for next year to 2023! Come on, they do this all the time!
As for those making above 100 million and above, please be noted, they are making tons during pandemic like glove stocks! They have been so lucky not been slapped with windfall tax! So basically, this is a way for them to give back!
Zahrul knows what he is doing! Been corporate guy for so long, i think this is fair!
And for Genting, no casino tax hike!
Overall, this Budget 2022 is about looking for extra revenue but not that burdensome overal! Only few segment are affected with this one time tax, so chill!

I am sure GST will be implemented after GE15 regardless who wins it! And this round, we hope Harapan, which is expected to recapture Putrajaya to grow up!
Don't go around making rheotrics only to tell us you guys cannot fulfill your promises! This political gimmick will backfire big time if you guys blew it for 2nd time!
