Am i against it! Yes! Why, because it's a huge burden to employers and there's no income limit! Perhaps, this 20% EPF contribution should only apply to hose earning 2k and below!
For those above 2k, then max should be around 14%! And those above 5k, then employers should follow standard contribution!

Is Malaysia ready for all these demands? 20% EPF contribution by Employers, RM 1800 minimum wage for govt employees.

Investors can easily relocate to countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia if Malaysia prices itself out of the market.

The present lot of workers may suddenly find themselves jobless if they persist with their demands,

employers will increase prices of goods and services and govt shouldn't complain

Actually i was shocked with PM Anwar sudden announcement of 20% employers EPF comtribution! Shows he lacks good judgement skill!

What PM Anwar should pursue is certification of skills workers like mechanics, aircond installers and so forth!
With proper certification of mechanics, workshop can then justify minimum salary of 2k for them! Or certified aircond installers will be at ease to do their job!
Certification is the way forward to higher salary! Imposing 20% employers EPF contribution without certification of workers is bad decision on PM Anwar part!

You have proper certification for accountants, doctors, lawyers adn so forth! Why until today there's no proper certification for skilled workers which help impose higher salary!

Anwar did not say 20% employer contribution. You must read carefully. PM only will discuss in cabinet. Two different things my friend. Read and understand.
