Bursa reprimands ECM Libra dealer

Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has publicly reprimanded, imposed a fine of RM150,000 and suspended dealer's representative
Chee Siow Chin of ECM Libra Investment Bank Bhd for 18 months.

In a statement today, the stock market operator said Chee had been found to have engaged in irregular/manipulative dealing activities in the shares of Cocoaland Holdings Bhd, warrants of Kumpulan Jetson Bhd and shares of Karambunai Corporation Bhd.

She triggered and breached the provisions of Rules 1302.1(1)(a)and(g),401.1(3) and 404.3(1)(a)and(c) of the Rules of Bursa Securities read together with Paragraph 6.7(a) of Participating Organisations' (POs) Circular No. R/R 17 of 2006, it said.

"The finding of the breach and the imposition of the sanctions on Chee were made pursuant to Rule 1301.2 of the Rules of Bursa Securities upon completion of due process and after taking into consideration all facts and circumstances," it added. -- Bernama

Bursa, can take action against the Son of Somebody who manipulated a 0.08sen share to RM 2+ recently and cause a lot of ah pek and ah Mu to lose their pants??
