GSK, LEGOLAND inks drink pact

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) has signed an agreement with LEGOLAND Malaysia to make available Ribena as a fruit beverage of choice at the theme park.

GSK commercial director (Malaysia and Singapore), Lee Hon Tong, said the company was excited and proud to collaborate with an internationally-renowned theme park and the first LEGOLAND in Asia.

"Our aim through this collaboration is to provide visitors with the option of having a nutritious and tasty beverage when visiting the park," he said at the ceremony to sign the agreement here today.

He said the collaboration would also provide an ideal platform for GSK to reach out to its target audiences especially since the theme park mainly targeted families with young children.

LEGOLAND Malaysia general manager, Siegfried Boest, the three-year agreement would leverage on the company's strengths to further add value to the theme park visitors' experience.

"I believe that this partnership will grow in the coming years," he said.

Meanwhile, in a joint statement today, GSK and LEGOLAND said the
collaboration would also further establish Ribena and LEGOLAND as leading brands in the tourism and leisure industry, each offering their own proposition to consumers. -- Bernama
