KL shares lower mid-afternoon

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) edged lower mid-afternoon, in cautious sentiment, as the tension in Ukraine clouded the market.
At 3:09pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 1.97 points lower at 1,859.01 points.
Market breadth was negative as losers outpaced gainers 250 to 478 while 315 counters were unchanged, 586 untraded and 30 others were suspended.
Turnover stood at 1.32 billion shares worth RM854.75 million.
Heavyweights, Maybank gained 2.0 sen to RM9.97, Axiata grew 1.0 sen to RM6.66, CIMB lost 2.0 sen to RM7.49, TNB eased 4.0 sen to RM11.90 and Public
Bank depreciated 8.0 sen to RM20.18.
Among actives, 1 Utopia was flat at 7.5 sen, PDZ Holdings gained half-a-sen to 16 sen and Karambunai Corp trimmed half-a-sen to 9.5 sen.
On the scoreboard, the Industrial Index was 7.36 points lower at 3,139.62 points, the Finance Index slipped 26.47 points to 17,047.11 points and the
Plantation Index dwindled 17.14 points to 8,978.59 points.
The FBM Emas Index erased 15.54 points to 12,902.81 points, the FBMT100 Index depreciated 12.8 points to 12,537.18 points, the FBM 70 was 12.31 points
lower at 14,131.4 points but the FBM Ace shed 46.01 points to 6,864.15 points.-- Bernama
