Ringgit opens higher against US dollar ahead of US CPI report

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar this morning amid cautious sentiment ahead of the upcoming United States (US) consumer price index (CPI) report, said an analyst.
At 8 am, the local note rose to 4.3330/3460 versus the greenback from yesterday's close of 4.3400/3445.
The US CPI report is scheduled to be released later today.
