All 30 KLSE index members moving north, leaving maxis far behind… what a pity!
2024-05-21 10:11
Small cap counters also moving north! Shame on maxis CEO and top leadership of maxis! Pity indeed!
2024-05-21 10:16
Furthermore, dragging KLSE down and putting Malaysia in a shameful position for poor KLSE performance!
2024-05-21 10:37
Maxis is founded by Malaysian, owned mostly by Malaysians, should be a national pride, rather than disgrace! Such a weak share price performance, dragging KLSE down, what a shame! Please don’t use “Jalur Gemilang” as decoration at maxis center, shameful indeed!

next Friday 31 May is MSCI index rebalancing day. Maxis weighting in the index has fallen because other components stock prices have gone up since the last rebalancing day. Anyone has any idea what that will do to maxis share price come this Friday?

Maxis partners with HPE to offer ‘AI-powered’ networking
This partnership will conquer today’s reshaped digital transformation complexities faced by Malaysian enterprises with a security-first, AI-powered offering to deliver secure, distinctive experiences from edge to campus to data center to the cloud with a Zero Trust, AI-driven foundation,” said Magic Hsu, general manager of HPE Aruba Networking for Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
Maxis recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Mobile International (CMI) to boost 5G and digital innovation in Malaysia. The operator said that the MoU establishes a strategic partnership around the acceleration of 5G initiatives, fostering innovation and driving growth in the telecommunications sector.

@GregBursa - This doesn't seem like an ideal buying opportunity for me, as most of the target prices have already been reached. Only BIMB remains at 3.95, which doesn't offer much potential for uptrend. Additionally, the volume and buying momentum have decreased, suggesting a sideways or downward trend in the near term, before any potential upward movement.

MAXIS has been downtrending, but is not too bad a business. I bought the lows and now sits at a profitable position that exceeded my modest target to make 9% per annum CAGR returns. However, I am committed to divest 40% of my peak local Bursa position from now till FYE 2025. It's a tough choice, but MAXIS made the cut.
I blogged about it here.

One more thing… after data center site visiting, I realized that all data centers required ports from telcos. For instance, Maxis offers a service called Data Center Connect with a service level availability (SLA) of up to 99.999% via multiple diverse fiber routes. Without which, data center is useless without telco services.
