CSH ALLIANCE BERHAD (FORMERLY KNOWN AS KTG BERHAD) ("CSH" OR "THE COMPANY") AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES - MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH BYD MALAYSIA SDN BHD
We refer to our announcement made on 22 March 2022 in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) entered between Alliance EV Sdn Bhd (“AEV”) (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company) and BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“BYD”) (“Announcement”), unless otherwise defined, the definitions set out in the Announcement shall apply herein.
The MOU was intended for the Parties to jointly co-operate and to explore areas for cooperation in the business of distribution of the BYD T3 models (a pure electric logistics vehicle with low energy consumption and high performance) and providing the related after sales services in Malaysia as well as to explore the possibilities of local assembly of the BYD T3 models.
Pursuant to the MOU, the Board wishes to announce that AEV has on 11 April 2022 after the business hour, received a Letter of Appointment dated 31 March 2022 from BYD to appoint AEV as its distributor for commercial electric van (“EV”) in Malaysia with effective from 1 April 2022 until further notice (“Appointment”).
Further to the Appointment, BYD had agreed for AEV to act as their distributor to distribute and sell its commercial electric van in Malaysia and the Parties will explore to set up a CKD assembly plant or a fully assembly plant in Malaysia. This announcement is dated 12 April 2022.

CSH Alliance Bhd's (CAB) wholly-owned subsiadiary,Alliance EV sdn Bhd (AEV) ,has been appointed by BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd (BYD) as the distributor of its commercial electric van.
The appointmentby BYD was made gollowing a previous memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies in March 2022 to collaborate on the distribution of the BYD T3 commercial electric vehicle.
CAB executive director Peter Yap said that through the distribution and soon assembly of the fully electric commercial van,AEV aims to assist the government in achieving the zero-emission and businesses in building an environmental,sustainable,and governanace(ESG) business approach.
'We ecpect a positive response from the transportation and logistics players in adopting electric vehicles to replace conventional fuel or gas vehicles that are harmful to the environment.
"Already,we have a commited customer who had expressed their intention to purchase 100 units of the electric van,"he said in a statement today.
THe BYD T3 is a fully electric compact van with low energy consumption and high performance.
Its pure electric drive,powerful eletric motor and automatic gear shift make it easy to operateyet low cost to mainrain.
Powered by BYD's proprietary NCM battery with a capacity of 50.3kwh,this silent-running vehicle produces zero emission and features up to 300km driving range on a single charge.
With ample cargo space of up to 3.8m square and a 780kg payload,the BYD T3 meets urban logistics and transportation needs with fuel savings.
As part of AEV's strategic plan ,CAB also intends to buld a completely knocked down(CKD) assembly plant or a complete assmbly plant to reduce the EV vehicle cost and support the local businesses while creating jod opportunities for Malaysians.
In addition,AEV also plans to develop the electric vehicle ecosystem,which includes 4S(sales,services,spare parts and body and paint services),supplying charging stations,and energy diversification into solar panels to provide an end-to-end electric vehicle solution for the customers

The Board of Directors of CSH wishes to announce that Alliance EV Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company), has on 10 May 2022, entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement (“SPA”) with Medium Visa Sdn Bhd and Harapan Iringan Sdn Bhd, to acquire three (3) adjoining plots of industrial land identified as Lot Nos. PT 17209, PT 17210, and PT 17211 held under Title Nos. HSD 336, HSD 351, and HSD 357, all in Mukim of Hulu Bernam Timor, District of Muallim, Perak, with a total land area of approximately 55.3186 acres for a total cash consideration of RM12 million and subject to the terms and conditions as stipulated in the SPA.

KUALA LUMPUR (May 25): Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) doubled in 2021 from the previous year to a new record of 6.6 million, said the International Energy Agency (IEA).
In its Global EV Outlook 2022, IEA said that back in 2012, just 120 000 electric cars were sold worldwide.
It said in 2021, more than that many are sold each week.

Glove market being redundant due to increase in world wide health care and vaccination. Reduce in cases and severity, supply over demand.
While EV is the inevitable future and it is not going to be dedundant. All vehicle manufacturers are rapidly ditching ICE and adopting hybrid or full EV now. By 2025, there should be considerable amount of EVs and EV facility already. Though I doubt Malaysia will pick up that quickly.

Investment holding company CSH Alliance is set to enter the commercial electric vehicle (EV) scene by collaborating with Chinese automaker BYD, with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alliance EV (AEV), having inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BYD Malaysia, The Star reports.
In a statement, the company said that aside from helping industry players adopt zero-emission commercial vehicles, it will also explore the distribution of fully-electric commercial vehicles and to provide 4S services (sales, service, spare parts and body/paint services), with the possibility of local assembly down the line.
The company said that AEV will be tasked with distributing and supplying the BYD T3 all-electric van as well as after-sales service aspects together with the spare parts and warranty packages. One of the clients for the T3 is said to be Line Clear Express and Logistics, a logistics and courier company in which CSH Alliance owns a 15% equity interest.
The BYD T3 is a compact electric van measuring in at 4,460 mm long, 1,720 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall, with a cargo volume of 3,800 litres. It’s powered by an AC permanent magnet synchronous motor offering 134 hp (100 kW) and 180 Nm, and performance figures include a 100 km/h top speed.
Juicing the motor is a proprietary BYD lithium-ion NCM battery with a capacity of 50.3 kWh, which offers the van a travel range of up to 300 km on a single charge. Charging via AC at 6.6 kW takes 7.6 hours to get from 0-100% state-of-charge, while DC charging at 40 kW takes 1.3 hours to fully charge the battery.
