His past positions include the post of Company Secretary and Unit Trust Manager of South East Asia Development Corporation Bhd (a public listed company) during the 5 years from 1971 to 1975, the General Manager of The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange during the 5 years from 1976 to 1980, an Executive Director of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (a public listed company) during the 10 years from 1981 to 1990 and an Executive Director of Econstates Berhad (a public listed company) during the 4 years from 1991 to 1994.
