Tan Sri Dato' Surin Upatkoon has disposed of 89.32% equity interest in Casi Management Sdn Bhd ("CMSB") to Hanton Capital Limited ("Hanton"). CMSB is substantial shareholder of MPHB Capital Berhad ("MPHB Capital") holding 230,883,993 shares in MPHB Capital. Arising from the above, Tan Sri Dato' Surin Upatkoon has ceased to have indirect interest in the abovesaid MPHB Capital shares via CMSB but instead Tan Sri Dato' Surin Upatkoon is now deemed to have indirect interest in the abovesaid MPHB Capital shares by virtue of Section 6A(4) of the Companies Act, 1965 ("the Act") held through Cypress Holdings Limited ("Cypress"). Cypress is deemed to have indirect interest in the said MPHB Capital shares by virtue of the Act held through Kularb Kaew Company Limited ("KKCL") and Cedar Holdings Limited ("CHL"). KKCL and CHL are deemed to have indirect interests in the abovesaid MPHB Capital shares by virtue of the Act held through Hanton. Hanton is deemed to have indirect interest in the abovesaid MPHB Capital shares by virtue of the Act held through CMSB.
