Aluminium roller shutter

The aluminium shutters are widely used across the market for both commercial and residential use. It is designed as a cost-effective measure to prevent entry and to enhance security levels as opposed to grills and doors.

The aluminium shutters are light and easy to handle. It is ideal for shop fronts, garage openings, small and low-value warehouses, stairwell opening and car parks.

It is designed to withstand normal wear and tear from rain and dirt, long term durability and high-volume usage.

Can be applied with architectural grade outdoor UV protected powder coat finishing.

Fire resistance roller shutter

Vertical shutter is available in single skin or double walled insulated design.

Single skin: roll formed using 1st grade zinc-coated steel with SKB-A7 curve slat curtain.

Double Wall Acoustic and Temperature Insulation: SKB-F7D roll formed zinc-coated steel slats fitted with 80 kg/m² rockwool.

Escalator-purpose design uses high quality phosphate galvanised steel with reinforced interlocking groove.

Fold up door

The SKB fold up door is designed for an alternative opening and closing mechanism that enhances aesthetic appearance as well as to enjoy the space of a full opening. Designers can customise the face design of the door on the fold-up door structure.

Heavy duty shutter

The heavy-duty shutters ideally cater for industrial and commercial buildings e.g. distribution warehouses, shop fronts, garages, manufacturing facilities and shopping malls, car park entrances and high-rise buildings.

It is designed for durability and to withstand high volume usage. Cost effective and simple design catered for back-end and external usage.

Insulated fire shutter

The SKB insulated fire shutter is the first insulated fire shutter in the region that has achieved 240 minutes of fire resistance and 240 minutes of insulation. The insulated fire shutter is a single-layer shutter curtain made of steel face sheets on both sides of the curtain and incorporated and sealed with fire rated heat insulation boards in between.

The steel-made, single layer shutter curtain is easy to maintain, greaseless and insulated on both sides. Strengthened guide rails and insulated shutter curtains are carefully designed to achieve excellent performance results compared to other alternatives available in the market.

This is highly recommended for basement car parks, commercial buildings and shopping malls where the public safety is concerned in the event of fire safety and security.

The SKB Insulated Fire Shutter meets the requirements of MS 1073 Part 3; BS 476 Part 22 and SS489 for Singapore.

Roller grille and see-thru shutters

o   See-thru shutters are shutter curtains with perforation holes which allow minimal visibility and air ventilation.

o   The see-thru shutters are mainly used outdoors to create a barrier at the shop front or back, warehouses and garages.

Outdoor Heavy Duty Design Shutter (Vision 7-OHD)

The transparent heavy-duty shutter is fabricated with high impact resistance Polycarbonate sheets and hinged together with aluminium alloy 6063 which form a transparent rollable curtain. Both ends of the curtain are reinforced with solid aluminium panel stopper with steel wind locks to withstand strong winds.

It ideally caters for industrial and commercial front-end openings such as fire brigades, hospitals, car and airplane display site, high value industrial and commercial display, large size showrooms, shopping mall and commercial building entrances and commercial car park entrances. It is designed for durability and to withstand high volume usage.

TRANSPARENT SHUTTER (MALAYSIAN PATENT NO. MY-128431-A)

Our patented VISION-7 ® transparent roller shutters enhance visibility and security over commonly used aluminium roller shutters for both commercial and residential settings.

The transparent roller shutters are made of polycarbonate panels and aluminium hinges. This provides high level of security where PC is known and tested to be high impact resistant.

It is uniquely designed for long-term durability, environmental-friendly, energy-saving and highly indestructible thus ideal for anti-theft and trespassing.

2. High Speed Doors

Fast action spiral door

The fast action spiral door is a heavy-duty high-speed safety & security door. Available in insulated sandwich panels and aluminium extrusion with vision panels, the spiral door is specially designed to be energy saving and fuss-free maintenance.

The rails are extended into the box to ensure operation is swift and quiet. Common applications of the spiral doors are 3S service centres, display showrooms, industrial and residential garage as well as sound and temperature insulation zones.

The SKB Spiral Shutter operation speed can be customised to individual user’s requirement with rolling speed achieving as fast as 2500 mm/second.

Safety PVC Roll up door

The high-speed door is a fast action performance door with safety impact features such as infrared photoelectric sensor, safety bottom edge and emergency stop button.

Designed with SIOEN PVC sheets and Servo inverter motors for long-term durability and high frequency usage. Able to operate between 2500 – 3000 cycles a day.

It can be customised with or without vision panel or full transparent sheets for oncoming traffic control.

Self repairing PVC roll up door

The SKB self-repairing PVC roll up door is equipped with impact-proof zip function. Its additional safety feature allows the curtain to break free from the zip guide when an impact is forced upon and automatically realigns when door resets.

The design aims to significantly reduces damage on curtains and extends the service life of the door.

Blast Resistant Steel Door

The SKB blast resistant steel door is custom designed to withstand the blast impact under high-risk high-impact conditions for both interior and exterior environment. This is especially important for industrial labs and warehouses containing explosives and hazardous articles.

Multi-tiers / raised storage system

This system is the fast way to add extra floor space within the shell of an existing building. In fact, you can virtually double your floor space without changing premises – or increasing your rent. Raised storage areas provide the means to create separate zones within one centralized facility, so you can separate areas for bulky items, fragile items, warehousing and dispatch, fast-moving and slow mobbing stock, and so on. Push back pallet racking system

SKB push back pallet racking allows greater selectivity of pallets but the same storage density as the drive-in / drive-thru.

While Drive-in or Drive-thru Pallet Racking limits selectivity, the Push Back Pallet Racking enables more stock picking faces. It is suitable for medium stock turnover type of goods and every level of the racks can be loaded with different types of homogeneous goods.

The push back pallet racking also works on a Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) stock arrangement with an increased selection of product within the lane.

Selected pallet racking system

Selective pallet racking system is one of the most widely used system for storing palletized unit loads is selective pallet racking. Within the rack each pallet is individually accessible. Pallet Racking arranged in a wide aisle pattern requires no specialized handling equipment. Arranged this way it gives high quality storage but may only utilize 40% of the floor space. However, fast throughput and ease of loading and unloading make this type of storage extremely popular.

Demand potential for steel doors

Industrial doors and fire doors are indispensable elements in large construction projects. The company manufactures a wide range of steel doors, including industrial and fire-rated doors, to meet the special needs of these construction projects. As the government vigorously promotes infrastructure construction, the demand for steel doors in these projects will increase significantly, which will bring new development opportunities for SKB SHUTTER.

Therefore, the company signed a contract with EcoWorld (ECOWLD, 5206, main board industry stock) in November 2022 to acquire the industrial land (area 9.81 acres) in ECO Business Park for RM36 million, preparing to build a new manufacturing plant to meet different market needs. The Managing Director of SKB Shutters said when she won the 6th place in the Golden Eagle Award for Excellence in 2023 that SKB SHUTTER is expected to move to the new factory in 2025.

Once a new manufacturing plant is established, SKB SHUTTER will take a step forward and install fully automated production lines, intelligently optimize energy and production operating procedures, etc. At the same time, we ensure that the new manufacturing plant operates as a green building, including collecting rainwater for recycling and installing solar equipment to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Technical analysis of SKBSHUT share price

We expect further upside for SKB after posting a long positive candle and hit a new multi-year high a few sessions ago. The stock also broke out from a 3-week bullish pennant pattern, which coincided with rising EMAs and likely indicate that the upward momentum may persist.

A bullish bias may emerge above the RM1.03 level with stop-loss set at RM0.89, below the 20-day EMA. Towards the upside, near-term resistance level is seen at RM1.30, followed by RM1.40.

Hence, it is expected that the YoY increase of the Q4 FY2024
