While many other plantation stocks are rolling back and remain quiet, HARNLEN, as opposed to all its peers is aggressively rewarding shareholders with their Bonus Issue proposal where the company shall issue 8 free bonus shares for every 5 ordinary shares investor hold.

By comparison, HARNLEN had yielded over 176.60% in return as compared to the dull performance of mere 2.21% of the plantation index as a whole.

Let us have a further look into the bonus issuance of the company. (Extracted from the Press Release of the company)

The Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares is proposed to be undertaken to: -

• reward the Company’s existing shareholders for their loyalty and continued support;

• enable shareholders to increase the number of shares held with no cash outlay required, while retaining their percentage of equity interest held;

• may improve the trading liquidity and marketability of HLCB Shares; and

• resultant lower theoretical ex-bonus share prices as compared to the existing HLCB Share prices before the Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares may provide an avenue for shareholders to participate in HLCB Shares at a lower price point.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to all required approvals being obtained, the Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of calendar year 2022.

How would the market react to the proposed bonus issue?

Why HARNLEN chose to issue bonus issue while the rest of the peers are quiet?

I believe there must be something positive brewing for the company that intrigued them to reward the shareholders at this juncture.

It would be wise to monitor how the share price of HARNLEN perform in Monday.
