Sharing my view.

Syndicate or fund manager always manipulate Closing Price for their own hidden agenda.

Retail investor should be cautious & you can always see this trick by using Minute chart.

2 of the examples for today:

BJTOTO closing at 16.50 was RM3.18 but by 16.51 it was pushed up to close at RM3.30.

BJTOTO at 16.50.

BJTOTO at 16.51.

SUNCON closing at 16.50 was RM1.68 but by 16.51 it was pushed up to close at RM1.74.

SUNCON at 16.50.

SUNCON at 16.51.

@VenFX, we cant get rid of these.

Investor who are not aware might buy at price based on today closing price at tomorrow opening session.

You can avoid falling into the trap by looking at minute chart if you found the price rise unusually.

Without syndicates, our market will be boring one. Investment funds whether private or government owns do cooperates with syndicates coz they are one who able to move the prices

The last 15 minutes of each session is rubbish.

2016-10-22 09:34

Not totally rubbish. bullish stocks tend to breakout a longterm resistance line at the last 15m matching session.

Need to extrapolate more than just one day, after all Friday 21st was the PM's 2017 Budget speech which began at 4pm.

Actually this is nothing new.

Over 70 years ago the great stock trader (or gambler, a more appropriate name) Jesse Livermore used this tactic.

In his "Autobiography" by Edwin Lefevre, Jesse Livermore told people how syndicates jack up prices.

After having bought into a stock in very substantial quantities they were told

to bid up the prices during the first few trades of the stock market opening time. And again to bid and buy at even more higher prices during stock market closing time.

By doing these artificially human induced movements - prices do & often move up.

But when prices have reached their pre planned strategy - these syndicates will just sell. And sometimes market will crash in limit down fashion to the horror of unsuspecting punters who were caught - die standing.

If you want to read more. Go get this book "REMINISCENCES OF A STOCK OPERATOR" By Edwin Lefevre.

Now these were the stocks cornered by syndicates once

1) IFCA
2) SUMATECH (Sudatrap)
3) SERSOL
4) PDZ
5) VSOLAR
6) XOX
7) DUTALAND
8) DOLOMITE
9) COMCORP
10) Coming soon will be - GADANG

You are absolutely correct!!!

This is exactly the reason why ultimately in the very end of the end game - more than 80% of stock market punters WILL EVENTUALLY LOSE ALL THEIR MONIES!

As again same old principal buy low n sell high. But when is lowest price u never know? . Again it's go back fundamental of the company. Whether is the company in the middle turnaround plan of generate more revenue and order book. As long this company generate more revenue, eventually the share price should back to its fair value. Chasing high not a right move, but of u are right in chasing low, u will double own profits. Good luck!

@Nighelanghelo By altering the closing price, the stock indicators, for e.g. Bolinger, MACD, RSI, Stochastic will turn positive accordingly.

Some investors may make a buy order on the next trading base on these false signal.
