KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has appointed former S P Setia Bhd deputy president and chief operating officer Datuk Seri Koe Peng Kang as its independent and non-executive director, effective Dec 12.
In a bourse filing on Monday, the airport operator said Koe, 62, commenced his journey at S P Setia in 1997 as a senior project manager, gradually advancing through various business and operational roles until his appointment as senior executive vice president of the company in 2019.
Koe assumed various leadership roles, encompassing infrastructure, convention centres, hospitality, premium high-rise, and residential township projects during his tenure at S P Setia. He played a direct role in the development of Eco Series pioneer townships and participated in projects in Japan and China, said MAHB.
"He was also attached to IOI Bhd as a project manager, overseeing the development of the 700-acre Bandar Puchong Jaya township," the airports operator added.
Shares in MAHB rose two sen or 0.28% to close at RM7.10, valuing the group at RM11.85 billion.
