KUALA LUMPUR (April 18): The ruling coalition government is drafting a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to facilitate the channelling of fund allocations to Opposition MPs.
This follows the unity government’s senior leadership council secretariat meeting on Wednesday, which agreed in principle to consider the channelling of allocations to Opposition MPs, said unity government chief whip Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
“Towards that, a draft MOU will be structured and passed to the Opposition for the next stage of negotiations.
“The matter was agreed upon in a meeting that lasted over an hour, chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and attended by the top leadership of unity government component parties,” said Fadillah, who is also deputy prime minister.
