Over the past week, a handful of searches directly and indirectly related to the Covid-19 outbreak have gained serious momentum on Google Search; for example, searches for "living room concert" increased by 1,300%.

With a great deal of the world still on lockdown and under stay-at-home orders due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the queries trending on Google Search expose how people are passing their time spent in quarantine.

As the worldwide shortage of facemasks continues, albeit the severity decreasing, searches for "How to make a mask with fabric" have increased by over the week 4,550%.

Because nail salons are non-essential businesses, searches inquiring how to remove gel manicures at home went up by 1,400%.

In an attempt to satisfy their party needs, people have searched for "living room concert" 1,300% more often than usual.

There's been an increase of 300% in searches related to cleaning groceries.

Using their time spent at home to tap into their creative side, people have searched for how to recreate famous paintings 300% more over the week.

Searches for "binge worthy tv shows" have increased by 200%.

Finally, because hair salons have been shut down due to the outbreak, "How to use clippers to cut hair" searches have increased by 140% over the week.
