Samsung, on one of its portals, has published a guide that gives detailed steps for cleaning its Galaxy Buds series earbuds. Its guide is valid for Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds.

Interestingly, the development comes shortly after the company released a new app for Galaxy Buds app for Windows 10 PCs. It is available for download on the Microsoft Store. This app, apart from giving users more nuanced controls over their smartphones, will also be compatible with Microsoft’s Series S devices.

Coming back to Samsung’s guide, if you own any one of the abovementioned earbuds, here’s how you can clean them:

Step 1: Remove the tip of the earbud by sliding it gently.

Step 2: Clean the earpiece tip and the speaker mesh cover. Use a dry cotton swab or brush with soft bristles to remove any debris or dust from the earbuds and the tips.

Step 3: Clean the inside of the device with a soft cloth by carefully removing any obstructions in the fabric of the headset. Avoid using a metal or steel brush during the process.

Step 4: Replace the tip of the earbud in the device. After cleaning is complete, properly assemble the ear tip. Cover the latch on the bottom with the tip of the device.

Step 5: Use the swab to clean the charging contacts and the sensor on both headphones, as well as the contacts inside the charging case.

In the guide that was first reported by Sam Mobile, the company says that in order to preserve the device for a longer time, users should keep their original device cases and connectors clean.
