Hard Disk Drive Industry: WDC, STX expect surpasses revenue in next Q4 FY2024

AI-Powered Storage Market Forecast, CAGR 26.5% from 2023 till 2033

The Global AI-Powered Storage Market size is expected to be worth around USD 282.9 Billion by 2033, from USD 27.0 Billion in 2023, growing at a CAGR of 26.5% during the forecast period from 2024 to 2033, an increase of 10x folds.

AI-powered storage refers to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into storage systems and solutions. Traditional storage systems primarily focus on storing and retrieving data, but AI-powered storage takes it a step further by leveraging AI algorithms and techniques to enhance storage performance, efficiency, and data management.

The AI-powered storage market is witnessing exponential growth, fueled by the escalating demand for sophisticated data management solutions across diverse industry verticals. This surge can be attributed to the escalating volumes of data generated by digital transformation initiatives, IoT devices, mobile devices and multimedia content, driving the need for intelligent storage solutions capable of autonomously adapting to dynamic workloads and evolving storage requirements.

Hard Disk Drive Industry: Western Digital, Seagate expect surpasses revenue in next 2H'2024

Looking forward, many analysts, banker & fund manager detailed evaluation forecast a very promising financial outlook, both Western Digital & Seagate will experience heightened demand from cloud and enterprise sectors. The optimism on HDD, SDD future is attributed to the growing need for storage solutions driven by advancement in AI on devices "AI edge device" which aligned to CAGR 26.5% growth benefit from continue trend to serve the expanding AI cloud and enterprise data centers.

There an increased of 14% ASP for HDDs from C4Q 2023 to C1Q 2024, a major turn around business for both Western Digital & Seagate toward to their highest ASP level since Q4'1998. Effective immediately announced since April'24, there is another ASP price increase of 5% to 10% official letter released to end customer on top of last round C1Q2024. Plus, HDD, SDD ASP pricing could adjust frequently in future for both flash memory & hard drive products in response to unplanned customer demand rise leading to extended delivery lead time & supply shortage constraint.

As a result, this raising ASP price will provide a better revenue product margin moving forward, a big revenue & earnings gain to HDD makers, thus directly benefit business volume sales spike to JCY, Notion & Dufu starting 2H'24 & thereafter.

With ever promising current data center theme raising + huge opportunity of AI cloud & data centers once finish build, ready and operate starting end 2024 & 2025 onwards, I strongly believe business revenue & earnings projection for JCY, Notion & Dufu will be bright for many years to come.

Quote from Mr. Thoo stated “We have seen strong demand in recent months and this will continue in the next five years or more, driven by new demand in the generative AI data needed for machine learning text, videos and imaging tech for ChatGPT, full self-driving (FSD) AI led by Tesla and humanoid AI robots in the coming years,” he elaborates.

We are now in the superbull run of HDD,SSD for year 2024 just like we were in 2020 glove superbull, just that now even better, can last even longer, exceed 5years and above with more data centers continue to build, ready & operate from now till year 2030.

The key is to continue to hold, patience wait & add when opportunity come for next big gain
