Malaysia logged 16,073 new Covid 19 cases today, down 16.3% compared with yesterday’s 19,198 cases- the lowest number of daily infections in 42 days.
These brought total confirmed cases across the nation to 1,995,771, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah tweeted.
Sarawak remained the state with the highest number of cases at 3,522, albeit 33.4% less than the record 5,291 posted yesterday.
Johor came in second with 2,030 cases, followed by Selangor (1,947), Sabah (1,649), Penang (1,243), Kedah (1,191), Kelantan (1,070), Perak (1,011), Pahang (878), Terengganu (704), Kuala Lumpur (398), Melaka (206), Negeri Sembilan (156), Perlis (41), Putrajaya (16) and Labuan (11).
Covid 19 pandemic has been affecting the movement of the people, businesses and the stock market. As an investor, I have been watching the number of new Covid 19 cases daily in Malaysia.
Based on the above report, it looks like the worst is over and the stock market will recover rapidly.

After the stock market closed, KSL announced its 4th quarter ending Dec 2023 EPS of 12.74 sen. The total is 40.76 sen for 4 quarters. Its total EPS for 4 quarter ending 2020 was only 17.8 sen.

At least change of government has a positive effect. KJ does an excellent job.

Sometimes Noor said cases are backlogged. Some even from last year. Recent high death rate was also dismissed by Noor that many are backlogged cases, not real total for the day. That means death rate was much higher but they were not yet recorded.
