Covid 19 pandemic has been affecting people’s movement, all business operations, listed and non-listed companies. Investors of listed companies, should be happy to see that the number of daily new Covid 19 cases is reducing rapidly, largely due to the rapid increase of vaccination rate. As shown on the charts below, on 27 Aug we had 22,070 new cases and on 3 Oct we only had 9,066 new cases.

 

 

Currently 20.5 million people or 63.4 % of our population are fully vaccinated.

Last month alone, 5 million people were vaccinated. If based on 5 million vaccinations for this month, the total number of fully vaccinated people will be 25.5 million or 79% of our population. That means there will not be any more MCO lockdown and business will go on as usual.

All investors should be happy to know that there will not be any more MCO lockdown next month and business will go on as usual.   

The stock market just closed and I notice almost all the steel stocks have gone up which indicates that there are many investors with good foresight.  My favourite Hiap Teck has gone up 1 sen to close at 55 sen.
