TWO-TIME former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who criticised the collapse of the western family institution was ‘schooled’ by some netizens who chided him for venting his frustration given that his two daughters and even granddaughters are deemed to be pro-LGBT activists.

They therefore urged Malaysia’s longest prime minister (PM) of 22 years and 22 months to firstly be inward-looking by preaching his thoughts to his daughters and grand-daughters first before turning his observation on gender equality into a public discourse.

“Be patient, Tun. Are you updating your current status because you are angry with your children/grandchildren,” teased netizen Athirah Rosli with Tahar Jamal added:

“Hope you’re able to advise your daughter to cover their aurat perfectly and not to get involved in gatherings with a perverse agenda again. Make sure they love Tun profoundly.”

Elsewhere, netizen Nassir Abdullah II reminded Dr Mahathir that his daughter Datin Paduka Seri Marina Mahathir is an advisor to Sisters in Islam (SIS) “which is a LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer)-based NGOs (on-government organisations”.

Recall that Marina who is Dr Mahathir’s eldest child had on March 10, 2019 criticised the then Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders in Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia supreme council member Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan for their condemnation of the rights of LGBT people during the Women’s March the previous day.

“I’m calling you out @wansaiful and @mujahidrawa! You are trying to distract from addressing very real women’s issues by focusing on only one of many demands at the #WomensMarch. Shame on you! #misogyny #youreadisgrace,” tweeted Marina.

Previously, online news portal Malaysiakini reported that Dr Mujahid had criticised the Women’s March as it defended LGBT rights, adding that it was an abuse of democracy. He added that the government will never accept LGBT practices in the country.

Marina had earlier on Aug 31, 2018 chided the then deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s remarks on radio station BFM that she would not condone the LGBT community lifestyle as it was haram (forbidden).

“Dear @drwanazizah, did you just call a lot of people including me who have shown the slightest bit of compassion towards marginalized people in our society haram??” tweeted Marina.

She also posted on Twitter a link to an article on Nikkei Asian Review which featured of PKR-elect president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was quoted as saying: “(The) Malaysian society must live with different beliefs and ways of life and must respect people who are different, including gays, bisexuals and those who identify as transgender.”

Meanwhile, there have also been accusations that both of Dr Mahathir’s adopted children Mazhar and Maizura Mahathir are proponents of LGBT movement while his grand-daughter Melia Serena Mukhriz had openly shared her photos at LGBT gatherings on her social media platforms. - June 2, 2023

LGBTQ and all kinds of rights are sponsored by Blackrock and George Soros's Open Foundation. These groups are mobilised to cause unnecessary protest to cause instability in a country where they have economic interest. UN is supported by these Soros and Blackrock.
