KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 — Civil servants were warned against having extramarital affairs.

This is after several government agencies, including the Custom Department, issued a noticed on their social media.

“Establishing a difficult relationship between civil servants to the extent that it affects the relationship between husband and wife can be interpreted as a behaviour that tarnishes the name of the public service,” the notice reads.

It also said having an extramarital affair is a disciplinary offence, and can be convicted under Section 38 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) 1997.

Malaysiakini reported that that the Agriculture Department and the Federal Territories Islamic Department have also issued the same warning.

The Agriculture Department’s notice highlighted that enticing a married woman is also a criminal offence, as per Section 498 of the Penal Code.

It is unclear what prompted the issuance of the notices.

It is all about sleaze which exposes the kind of people administering and leading the nation. The priority is about moral policing and not food on the table or economy.
Hopeless Malay-sia leaders. The "sia" word did not disappoint.
