KUALA LUMPUR:  Heitech Padu Bhd today announced the appointment of MY E.G. Services Bhd's (MyEG) non-independent director Datuk Mohd Jimmy Wong Abdullah as a non-independent director in the company.

He joined MyEG as its independent non-executive director in 2006. In 2021, Mohd Jimmy was redesignated to non-independent non-executive director.

He is a member of the audit committee as well as the momination committee of MyEG.

On Mar 11, 2024, MyEG emerged as a substantial shareholder in Heitech after its unit MY E.G. Capital Sdn Bhd bought a 14.4 per cent stake in the company for RM31.2 million.

It has since raised its stake to 15.889 per cent.

A business weekly reported that Heitech has been shortlisted for the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) project.

Heitech's share price reached a high of RM1.91 a share today, before closing 3.3 per cent higher to RM1.88 a share.

This gives it a market capitalisation of RM190.3 million.
