KUALA LUMPUR: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail wants Prisons Department staff quarters nationwide to be improved.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Saifuddin said he visited the staff quarters at the Kajang Prison yesterday.
He said the Madani government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is intent on ensuring the well-being of civil servants, especially uniformed personnel.
"My focus is the same, I want to ensure conducive living and working conditions for all (uniformed) personnel.
"God willing, I will upgrade this staff quarters," he said.Previously, Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, who also heads the Special Task Force on Agency Reform (STAR), said the body would focus on improving staff quarters for teachers, uniformed personnel, health workers, and civil servants.
