AN opposition-slant social media influencer has come under fire for allegedly naming DAP’s Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin’s sister as the official designer of the Malaysian Paralympics Paris 2024 squad.

Failure to understand Mandarin - or finding ways to go around such handicap - is how Condor Hero (@CondorHero6) who prides himself as an “independent analyst, investigator and voice for truths” made the rather defamatory mistake by shaming Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeo and DAP in the process through insinuation of “crony connection”.

The first salvo was fired by fellow social influencer Mandarinjer (@mandarinjer) - a Malay Mandarin laoshi - who ticked off Condor Hero for his recklessness for even if he is “uninterested in learning Mandarin, he should have at least resorted to the free Google Translate for assistance”.

Numerous netizens who are apt in Mandarin also surfaced to clear the air that Bee Yin’s sister, Bee Sean, had “actually expressed her disappointment and grievances that the uniform that she has produced as well as the entire design project had been abruptly terminated by the Malaysia Paralympics Council (MPC) without proper explanation”.

As such, they claimed that what Condor Hero did - by spreading lies without proper verification - is malicious.

Some netizens rendered the useful tip of using Google Translate to Condor Hero.

But already the damage has been done with sone followers falling flat on Condor Hero’s wrong accusation.

Little wonder that some netizens forewarned Condor Hero that he can be libel to legal suit for his action.
