GUA MUSANG: Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) has decided against following Perikatan Nasional's (PN) approach of offering a comprehensive manifesto for the Nenggiri by-election.

Instead, Kelantan BN chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub announced a "simple manifesto" titled

"Awi Will Give His Service To The People," referring to BN's candidate for Nenggiri, Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani.

Speaking at a press conference after a local media briefing, Jazlan said that this straightforward manifesto signified Azmawi's commitment to providing dedicated service to the people of Nenggiri.

"There's no value in a manifesto filled with promises if we cannot deliver on them," he said.

"For BN, the priority is ensuring our candidate, should he win, will honour his promises and serve the people who elect him."

Jazlan, who is also BN operations director for the Nenggiri by-election, said that the key to winning the by-election would lie in understanding voter sentiment rather than relying solely on campaign rallies.

"This time around, we're focusing on house-to-house visits and engaging with polling district centres instead of traditional ceramah (talks)," he said.

He expressed confidence that both the federal government and Nenggiri voters would support Azmawi.

He criticised PN's manifesto, which was launched last night with 37 offers, as being more about rhetoric than substance.

"Many of PN's previous promises went unfulfilled," he said, adding that its "new 37 offers seem more like empty promises."

PN's manifesto, unveiled by Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud in Renok, features seven pillars encapsulated in the acronym "KHIDMAT", representing community service, people's rights, trust and integrity, economic power and infrastructure, knowledgeable society, educated youth, and rural digital transformation.

Each pillar includes several specific offers.
