Youths are assets, heirs of leadership and pillars of country's development, says Fadillah

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof on Monday wished all youths in the country a Happy International Youth Day 2024, describing them as important assets, heirs of leadership and pillars of Malaysia's development.

Fadillah, who is also the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister said the role of youths have always been recognised and the government has made many reforms towards ensuring that they become part of an important group in the country, including through Undi18 which has been implemented.

"The government always recognises the voice of the youths, and we even listen to the voices of those who also guide the country's policy-making and aspirations. The youth must continue to be strong to face all kinds of challenges and strive to prepare themselves to form a better legacy for the country's sake.

"If you want to see the future of a country, look at today's young generation. My best wishes on the celebration of International Youth Day 2024, on Monday (Aug 12),” he said in a Facebook posting in conjunction with the International Youth Day 2024 that is celebrated on Monday.

Meanwhile, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli through his Instagram also wished all Youth in Malaysia a happy International Youth Day 2024.- Bernama
