KUALA LUMPUR: Heavy rain on Tuesday (Oct 15) morning disrupted the operations of the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) line after tracks between the Sri Rampai and Wangsa Maju stations became flooded.

Rapid KL, in a Facebook post, said that there were no train services between Sri Rampai and Taman Melati due to the flooding, and alternative train arrangements had been activated.

Trains from Putra Heights are turning back at Sri Rampai, with shuttle trains are operating between Taman Melati and Gombak.

"There is no train service between Sri Rampai and Taman Melati. Shuttle buses will be provided but are expected to experience delays due to flash floods. Passengers from Sri Rampai to Taman Melati are advised to use other alternative modes of transportation," RapidKL said.

Several areas in the city centre were hit by flash floods following heavy rainfall on Tuesday.
