Profit taking activities emerged and the FBM KLCI violated below the 1,690 level led by GENTING (-19.0 sen) and TENAGA (-12.0 sen) – the latter ended lower after Khazanah Nasional Bhd reported to be divesting about 1.5% of the total shares outstanding in TENAGA. Meanwhile, broader market trended in the negative tone as selling interest picked up in most of the small caps and lower liners – CYPARK and LIIHEN fell 5.0 sen each. Nevertheless, selected metal-related stocks remained uptrend intact - MYCRON jumped 7.5 sen, while PRESTAR added 1.0 sen.
