Strong Manufacturing PMI data sent U.S. stockmarkets higher overnight as the Dow halted a three-day losing streak to close 0.6% higher.

Profit taking activities amongst selective banking heavyweights sent the FBM KLCI 0.4% lower yesterday. The immediate resistance level is located around the 1,650 level.

Crude Palm Oil: RM3,163 (+RM54, +1.74%)
Crude palm oil prices rose to two-weeks high on weaker Ringgit coupled with potential lower supply from the flood in east coast Malaysia. The RM3,200 level will serve as the immediate resistance level.

WTI Crude Oil: $52.33 (-$1.42, -2.66%)
Crude oil prices retreated from 18-months high on stronger dollar coupled with uncertainty over OPEC production cut deal. Crude oil prices might trend towards the US$55-US$60 levels.

Gold: $1,158.84 (+$11.27, +0.98%)
Gold prices jumped 1.0% on higher demand from China ahead of the Lunar New Year festive season. The US1,100 will serve as the immediate support level.
