The FBM KLCI (+0.7%) managed to rake in some substantial gains ahead of the announcement of economic stimulus package as well as the firmer Ringgit against the Greenback. Market breadth, however, stayed negative as losers outrun the winners on a ratio of 621-to-264 stocks. Notable advancers were financial heavyweights like Hong Leong Bank (+28.0 sen), Maybank (+19.0 sen) and RHB Bank (+3.0 sen) after all three delivered strong corporate earnings.
