This blog provides market updates and trading ideas that I gather from around the web.

FBM KLCI: 1,322.66 pts (-28.23pts, -2.09%)

The FBM KLCI (-2.1%) turned sharply lower after lingering in the negative territory for the entire trading session, spooked by the negative developments on Wall Street overnight, coupled with World Bank's move to downgrade Malaysia economy growth to -0.1% Y.o.Y (from +4.5% Y.o.Y) for 2020. Market breadth turned negative as losers outstripped the winners on a ratio of 523-to-355 stocks. The plantation sector (-2.3%) was the worst performer on the broader market, dragged down by Batu Kawan (-36.0 sen), KLK (-26.0 sen) and Sime Darby Plantation (-20.0 sen) amid the lockdown of palm oil plantation and mills in Sabah.
