FBM KLCI: 1,555.51 pts (-14.62pts, -0.93%)

Selling pressure in PMETAL (-23.0 sen) and most of the banking stocks dragged the FBM KLCI (-0.9%) into its fourth session decline amid mixed regional performances and market talks on windfall tax re-emerged. Market breadth remained negative as the losers hammered the gainers by 715-to-339 stocks. The technology sector (+0.8%) was the sole gainer on the negative broader market, powered by gains in D&O (+40.0 sen), GREATEC (+17.0 sen), and FRONTKN (+5.0 sen), while the industrial products & services sector (-1.4%) was the biggest loser.
