The FBM KLCI (+0.6%) managed to recover all its intraday losses as investors brushed off the renewed volatility on Wall Street and focused on the 4Q21 GDP data that expanded 3.6% YoY. Market breadth remained positive as the advancers outnumbered the decliners by 509-to-446 stocks. The plantation sector (+4.7%) continues to lead the sectorial peers, anchored by gains from KLK (+RM1.40), BKAWAN (+70.0 sen) and GENP (+43.0 sen) as CPO prices gained further to hover around the record high level.
