The FBM KLCI (-0.38%) lost ground after four consecutive session gains as investors shifted their focus to the upcoming US Fed’s interest rate decision. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners outnumbered the advancers by 409-to-390 stocks. The energy sector (+1.32%) outperformed the negative-biased broader market as HIBISCS (+4.0 sen), DAYANG (+5.5 sen), and ARMADA (+0.5 sen) rallied, triggered by the spike in Brent crude oil price.
