The FBM KLCI (-1.97%) ended firmly lower in the negative territory, violating below the key 1,400 level as global bank rout continued to weigh on sentiment. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners heavily hammered the advancers by 878-to-179 stocks. All the 13 major indices were painted in red, led by the energy sector (-3.35%) as DIALOG (-7.0 sen), YINSON (-9.0 sen), and VELESTO (-1.5 sen) drifted lower. Meanwhile, the industrial products & services (-2.34%) and financial services (-2.17%) sectors were among the biggest decliners.
