it's strange, TI declined to be part of the GE13 process. Now Paul Low has agreed to be a cabinet minister without being elected. He could have made a bigger and better contribution as an independent voice; let's see how he judges himself, and the people will also judge him in return.

Have you ever considered that maybe he was already offered a Cabinet post before the GE13?

And in order for him not to be seen as being biased, he could not allow TI to be one of the election observers?

How would it look if TI was an election observer and TI came out with a report that GE13 was fair and transparent?
And then he subsequently took up a position in the newly formed Government?

Under the afore mentioned circumstances, it is perfectly reasonable and understandable that TI declined to be an election observer.

Sometimes, you need to look at things logically and not suspect a conspiracy around every corner ......

TI-M members today questioned the president's integrity.
They're upset that Paul Low had signed the election integrity pledge with the premier on the 17th March 2013 without the organisation's approval.

My view:How can the ex TI-M president witnessed the signatories of people like the corrupt Sarawak minister since there are already evidence.He merely close one eye knowingly that he'll be part of the crocodile team very soon.

This is what he said at that time:
"Before we launched the initiative, we did not engage any politician because we don't want to be seen as being biased towards anybody,”
Now here..did he inform TI-M members about the launch or he think is his own grandfather company and do what he like.

With Saifuddin, Umno supreme council member and deputy higher education minister on board, he said he hopes more candidates will join the campaign to eliminate money politics, but stressed that it is not a competition.

The pledge, a non-binding 'social contract' between the signatories and the people, require signatories to reject bribe-taking and money politics during their electoral campaign and when they are voted into office.

Although the contract is not enforced by any authority, the signatories must open a social media account - Facebook and/or Twitter - to allow direct communication with voters who will monitor and give their feedback on their conduct.

We already know Malaysia has number one robotic spammers so how can this be a benchmark using Facebook/Twitter?

"They can say it is just a piece of paper, yes, but you will be held accountable. The people will watch you," Low(right) explained.

The pledge, he elaborated, is proposed to individual candidates instead of political parties.
He said Saifuddin is seen as a reformer in Umno.Isn't this already a price in product?

This evening this is what Paul Low says:Cabinet appointment not to silence me.
However, he stresses he has no power on the actual cracking down on graft, and he does not control any gov't agencies.

looks like Paul Low has given up the fight when he accepted the cabinet position and said he has no power ...his colleagues at TI-M must feel betrayed.
