It was My Johor Sifu first who told me about Scuttlebutting. The term used by Phil Fisher about visiting Companies & Oberving their businesses. Phil wrote "COMMON STOCKS AND UNCOMMON PROFITS".

Last time we bought OKA at 35 sen as we SAW the many drain pipes with "OKA" signature brand name. OKA made us more than 600% later as it shot past Rm2.00 & split.

My Johor Sifu also traveled up PLUS Highway and observed the many Guard Rails by Prestar. So we loaded up on Prestar - the King of Highway Guard Rails. And Pre-Star - buy it BEFORE it turned into a Star gave us lots of Profits later!

And so - watching Companies & their businesses have always been part of our investigation before putting our hard earned Cash into the stocks we pick.

This past month I have travelled up & down Malaysia looking at some of DRB's BUSINESSES. As you can SEE Proton is not in the picture. In fact to us, these 3 Businesses are equally or even more important than Proton.

A frog in the well has a very limited world view as his vision is limited. Those who view DRB as Proton only are like frogs in the well.  A monkey on the tree top can see further ahead. A flying bird in the sky can see the complete picture. So SEE with Calvin's worldview as we look at these photos:

1) BANK MAUMALAT (DRB has 70% & the other 30% own by Malaysian Government)

With the rise of Banking Counters, Bank  Maumalat should also be doing well. All the more because Bank Maumalat is given license for Islamic Pawn Shop operation. Very safe as it only give out monies with guarantee of collateral - gold, precious jewels, Rolex watches & other items of Value. If borrowers default in payment? Easy - just sell the pawned items and reap even more profits.

With Trump banning some Muslim nations from entering USA - expect more Arabs to visit Malaysia - both for Business, Education & Leisure - Very Good for Islamic Bank like Bank Maumalat. So expect Bank Maumalat to play a more prominent role as Malaysia is a Rising Star as an Islamic Financial Capital in the future.

2) PUSPAKOM ( A MONEY MAKING CASH COW like MYEG)

With 21.25 Million Cars & Vehicles that need inspection before transfer of ownership. Yearly inspection for Commercial Vehicles for roadwortiness. PUSPAKOM is sitting on a CASH COW. There is total monopoly & pricing power. Last time MyEG raised rate from Rm10 to Rm120 for domestic servant. And MyEG share price jumped from 10 sen to over Rm4.00 (then split) 

Calvin & Johor Buddies made tonnes of monies buyng into MyEG. Now we have found a potential MyEG in DRB's PUSPAKOM.

PUSPAKOM's counterpart in Singapore is VICOM. And VICOM share price is 3 times that of Singpost.

Singpost closing price today is S$1.38   while VICOM share price is S$5.66 (So VICOM share price is 310% more than Singpost)

And DRB has both PUSPAKOM & POS!

So there is lots of space and room for both PUSPAKOM & POS OFFICE LANDS TO EXPAND SIDEWAY & UPWARD!!  UP UP IN THE SKY!!

I collected some parcels in KL sent from JOHOR through this shy postman. After collecting the parcel from him I took this photo. He said that Business is TERRIFIC!!  No wonder POS price also Very Terrific!

Ha! You might question, "If POS is good why don't you just buy POS instead of  DRB?"

The answer is this:

Last time my Johor Sifu bought KFC (Because Malays cannot eat pork & beef too expensive. So the answer is KFC!!)

I bought QSR instead. Why? Because QSR has both KFC & Pizza Hut.

And when both KFC & QSR were taken private by Johor Corp later JCorp rewarded QSR shareholders more than KFC.

So Calvin likes DRB because DRB has both POS & PUSPAKOM!

You must know that POS has competitors like GDExpress, SkyNet, CtyLink, FDExpress while PUSPAKOM HAS TOTAL MONOPOLY and ZERO COMPETITION. PUSPAKOM IS EVEN BETTER THAN MyEG because MyEG now face challenge from DNEX!

One more Very Important FACTOR Calvin likes DRB is BECAUSE OF ITS NTA.

DRB is selling at Deep Discount to NTA. NTA provides a Big Margin of safety!

I bought Jaks at 40 sen with NTA over Rm1.00 I also bought Nylex at 58 sen because Nylex too was selling at NTA over Rm1.00

Since then Jaks has shot up 300% & Nylex up 50%

One of Great Sifu Peter Lynch's advise was about Disney World.

Peter Lynch noted that most tourists stay in hotels outside Resorts & Theme Parks BUT DISNEY WORLD HAS LOTS OF LANDS INSIDE  ITS THEME PARK. SO IT CAN ADD VALUE BY MAKING USE OF THOSE PRIME LANDS TO BUILD HOTELS & OTHER BUSINESSES!

Now will POS & PUSPAKOM EVOLVE INTO MULTI BILLION ENTITIES LIKE AMAZON OF USA & ALIBABA OF CHINA BY BUILDING UP ALL POS OFFICE LANDS INTO MULTI STOREY FLATTED WAREHOUSES TO STORE & DISTRIBUTE GOODS THROUGHOUT MALAYSIA!!!

ONLY IF  YOU HAVE THE VISION.

OR DO DRB MANAGEMENT HAVE THE VISION TO BRING COMPANY INTO A WORLD CLASS ENTITY LIKE AMAZON & ALIBABA

It remains to be seen

But from every angle you look at it

THERE IS HUGE POTENTIAL IN THIS MOST UNDERVALUE STOCK CALLED DRB-HICOM.

Will it rise up to be A Blue Chip, someday?
