Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Hi guys

Since today is the LORD'S Day I want to share about Satan being an accuser

Job 1 King James Version (KJV)

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.

And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Job’s Character and Wealth
(James 5:7-12)

1There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. And this man was blameless and upright, fearing God and shunning evil. 2He had seven sons and three daughters, 3and he owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female donkeys, and a very large number of servants. Job was the greatest man of all the people of the East.

4Job’s sons would take turns holding feasts in their homes, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

5And when the days of feasting were over, Job would send for his children to purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for all of them. For Job thought, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

Satan’s First Attack

6One day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satana also came with them.

7“Where have you come from?” said the LORD to Satan.

“From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”

8Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil.”

9Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11But stretch out Your hand and strike all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.

12“Very well,” said the LORD to Satan. “Everything he has is in your hands, but you must not lay a hand on the man himself.”

Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

Job Loses His Children and Possessions

13One day, while Job’s sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 14a messenger came and reported to Job: “While the oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15the Sabeans swooped down and took them away. They struck down the servants with the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

16While he was still speaking, another messenger came and reported: “The fire of God fell from heaven. It burned and consumed the sheep and the servants, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

17While he was still speaking, another messenger came and reported: “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels, and took them away. They struck down the servants with the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

18While he was still speaking, another messenger came and reported: “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on the young people and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

20Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped, 21saying:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,

and naked I will return.

The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away.

Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

22In all this, Job did not sin or charge God with wrongdoing.

Calvin comments:

From the book of Job we noticed that Job is a man who is blameless & upright, fearing God and shunning evil

We also noticed that Satan is a very energetic being

6One day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satana also came with them.

7“Where have you come from?” said the LORD to Satan.

“From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”

Satan roam the earth everywhere all the time. And he is full of energy.

Then God questioned Satan

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil.”

God singled out Job as an example of a faithful Christian

And Satan being the accuser replied

Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11But stretch out Your hand and strike all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.

Satan insinuates

“Does Job fear God for nothing?

He insinuated that Job feared God with ulterior motives

Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns?

Satan was unhappy that God placed a protection around Job and his family & all his possessions

THIS SHOWS THAT A CHRISTIAN IS WELL PROTECTED BY GOD FROM ALL HARM. EVEN HIS FAMILY AND HIS POSSESSIONS ARE ALL UNDER GOD'S PROTECTION

You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land

SATAN FURTHER INSINUATES THAT GOD BLESSED JOB'S HANDS & INCREASED HIS POSSESSIONS IN THE LAND

HERE WE SEE THAT GOD DOES PROSPER HIS PEOPLE

1But stretch out Your hand and strike all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.

THE BONE OF CONTENTION SATAN GAVE TO GOD AS A CHALLENGE IS TO CAUSE JOB TO SUFFER LOSSES & HE INSINUATES THAT JOB WILL THEN CURSE GOD

SO GOD ALLOWED JOB TO BE TESTED BY SATAN

12“Very well,” said the LORD to Satan. “Everything he has is in your hands, but you must not lay a hand on the man himself.”

GOD GRANTED SATAN PERMISSION TO HARM JOB BUT ONLY JOB HIMSELF SATAN NOT GIVEN PERMISSION TO HARM

Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

AND SATAN KILLED ALL 10 OF JOB'S CHILDREN, DESTROYED ALL  HIS HOUSES, HIS SHEEP, HIS CAMELS, OXEN, DONKEYS AND ALL HIS SERVANTS

IN ONE DAY SATAN WIPED OFF EVERYTHING JOB OWNED

YET JOB KEPT TO HIS FAITH

NOW JOB CHAPTER TWO

ob Loses His Health

1On another day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satana also came with them to present himself before Him.

2“Where have you come from?” said the LORD to Satan.

“From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”

3Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.”

4“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give up all he owns in exchange for his life. 5But stretch out Your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse You to Your face.

6“Very well,” said the LORD to Satan. “He is in your hands, but you must spare his life.”

7So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and infected Job with terrible boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. 8And Job took a piece of broken pottery to scrape himself as he sat among the ashes.

9Then Job’s wife said to him, “Do you still retain your integrity? Curseb God and die!”

10“You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept from God only good and not adversity?”

In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

SATAN DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE HIS DEFEAT BUT ACCUSE JOB EVEN MORE

UNTIL JOB STILL RETAINED HIS TRUST IN GOD AND SATAN WAS SILENCED FOR GOOD

JOB TEACHES US THAT

1) THERE IS A LIVING GOD

GOD KNOWS ALL HIS PEOPLE. HE PROTECTS , BLESSES & PROSPER THEM

NO HARM CAN COME OUR WAY UNLESS GOD ALLOWS IT FOR HIS PURPOSE

FOR JOB AFTER HIS TEST GOD GAVE BACK TO JOB DOUBLE THAT WHICH HE HAD LOST

2) THERE IS A VERY EVIL BEING CALLED SATAN

HE IS AN ACCUSER

SOME PEOPLE ARE USED BY SATAN TO ACCUSE PEOPLE OR TO DO GREAT EVIL TO OTHERS

3) THERE IS MAN

MAN IS A CREATURE CREATED BY GOD

SO THERE IS LIFE ON EARTH HERE AND HEREAFTER

THE UNSEEN WORLD OF CONFLICT BETWEEN GOD AND SATAN, GOOD AND EVIL, HEAVEN AND HELL IS VERY REAL

WARMEST REGARDS
