Why Annjoo Steel now of all the Steel Counters in KLSE?
These are some salient factors:
1) ANNJOO STEEL HAS FALLEN TO ATTRACTIVE VALUE OF 44% BELOW NAV
At Rm1.35 with NTA of Rm2.40 Annjoo is now selling at a nice discount of 44% (It was over Rm3.80 at one time)
So now Price is down more than 60% from peak and is considered Low & Cheap with Margin of Safety
2) RECENT PROJECTS AWARDED SHOW SOME DEMAND FOR STEEL
The continuation of TRX, The Pan Borneo Highway & the recent over Rm300 Millions job award for MRCB showed demand for long steel products'
Another strong booster will be the restoration of ECRL (East Coast Rail line to Tumpat in Kelantan
3) In Good Times Anjoo pays good dividends

I am happy to note that many Big Foreign Funds are in Top 50 of Annjoo
2 notable ones are Public Mutual Fund & Eastspring Investment Fund
I also saw Eastspring in TMakmur which was taken private.

7) HUGE DEMAND FROM SINGAPORE FOR ANNJOO STEEL
Construction demand in Singapore to stay strong, reach up to $32b this year: BCA
PUBLISHED
JAN 14, 2019, 11:42 AM SGT
SINGAPORE - Construction demand is expected to remain strong this year due to sustained public sector contracts, as the industry continues to recover from a challenging three-year spell.
Total construction demand, which is the value of construction contracts to be awarded, is expected to be between $27 billion and $32 billion this year, despite additional cooling measures in the private property market and the delay in construction of the high-speed rail between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur last year.
Public construction demand, expected to be between $16.5 billion and $19.5 billion this year, is set to make up about 60 per cent of projected demand for the year.
An estimated $30.5 billion in contracts was awarded last year, according to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). This is in line with the agency's estimate of between $26 billion and $31 billion for last year.
It represents a 23 per cent increase in construction demand compared with the year before, said Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower, at the BCA-Redas Built Environment and Property Prospects Seminar which was held on Monday (Jan 14) at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
"Many firms have felt the pressure. Construction demand declined for three consecutive years from 2015 to 2017," Mr Zaqy said in a speech at the event, adding that the Government's move to bring forward $1.4 billion in public projects to start between 2017 and early this year has helped firms ride out the downturn.
Public sector demand contributed $18.4 billion last year due to projects such as civil engineering works and institutional buildings. Private sector demand was $12.1 billion, supported by projects such as the redevelopment of en-bloc sites, the sales of which were concluded in 2017 and the first half of last year.
"We have also encouraged government agencies to parcel out large infrastructure projects to create more opportunities for local firms and to diversify risk," said Mr Zaqy.
Total construction demand is estimated to be between $27 billion and $34 billion per year for 2020 and 2021, and between $28 billion and $35 billion per year for 2022 to 2023.

Troubled contractor Greatearth files to wind up company, a week after shock BTO site closures
Greatearth collapse: will more construction firms follow as reliefs and government help end
In the wake of news that Greatearth Corp and Greatearth Construction have gone bust, lawyers working with construction companies said that factors like increased cost of materials and labour could deliver the same fate to more contractors. In the first seven months of this year, ACRA data showed that 1,324 business entities in the construction sector had ceased operations. This is marginally higher than the 1,282 entities recorded in the corresponding period last year but still lower than the 1,422 entities recorded in the first seven months of 2019. Danna Er, a partner at Eldan Law LLP said: “Construction companies that have been able to stay afloat during this difficult Covid-19 period have been able to do so because of a combination of strong financial reserves and government support received.” When these reliefs and other government assistance schemes end, these companies could resort to legal proceedings or face insolvency, she added. Derek Loh, a partner at TSMP Law Corp also foresees that employers will need to shoulder some of these costs, or the financial health of the industry will worsen, resulting in more failures.... And it was a Chun Chun call as Prestar up 200% and now split by Bonus Isssue (CANNOT CHASE PRESTAR NOW: TAKE PROFIT NOW!)

Will the High Cost of Steel be the Proverbial "Final Straw that Broke the Camel's Back?"
Now While Steel is LUMPY Material selling to a Few Big Time Contractors & Real Estate Developers Palm Oil is well diversified into 30 Million Consumers in Malaysia PLUS 2.75 BILLION PEOPLE IN INDIA & CHINA'S HUGE POPULATION
It only cost few tens of ringgit each to buy a Bottle of 5kg Cooking oil from Saji
SO WHILE STEEL HAS GONE UP IN PRICES AND STEEL STOCKS ALSO UP BY 100% TO 200% THE PRICES ARE NOW VERY RICH & PROFIT SHOULD BE TAKEN AT THEIR CYCLICAL HIGH.
MORE SO AS DANGER LURKS AHEAD
INSTEAD OF LUMPY STEEL THE SAFETY OF PALM OIL RESTS ON THE COLLECTIVE DAILY USE OF BILLIONS OF INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS

i3gamblerMake reference to BRIGHT (9938) announcement to Bursa on dated 19th August 2021.
The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Bright wishes to announce that the Company had on 19 August 2021 entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (“JVA”) with Datai Plantations Sdn. Bhd. (“DPSB”) (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Parties”) to form an unincorporated joint venture for the purpose of developing an oil palm plantation together with facilities and the provision of services ancillary to such plantation on parcels of land located in Sarikei, Sarawak (“Project”).
Read the item 4.3 of document:
The Investment Sum shall be utilised by the Project to plant up to an additional 150 hectares of oil palm as calculated based on an estimated development cost of Ringgit Malaysia Thirty Three Thousand only (RM33,000.00) per hectare as at the date of the JVA.
You see,
The development cost alone is already RM33K / ha, not yet adding purchase price of the land.
The Enterprise Value / ha for TAANN estate is very much below that.

580,000 businesses face closure by October
Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at Business | News
Many businesses are now suffering ‘business fatigue’ syndrome and declining con dence, says Medac
by NURUL SUHAIDI / Pic by TMR FILE PIX
UP TO 580,000 businesses — representing 49 % of the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector — are at risk of closing down by October, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Medac) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (picture) said.
He said Malaysia’s MSME sector, which accounts for close to 40% of the country’s GDP, is on the brink of collapsing should the current nationwide lockdown continue.
“If we don’t do something to help them now, I am worried that many of these MSMEs will fail and will not be around to help rebuild the economy once businesses are allowed to open.
The longer businesses are not allowed to operate, the longer it will take to recover,” Wan Junaidi said in a statement yesterday.
“It is time we look at other holistic measures on how to deal with this other than lockdown,” he added.
To make it worse, he said many businesses are now suffering “business fatigue” syndrome and declining confidence as a result of lockdown.
This illustrates the harsh reality faced by local MSMEs and he urged for remedial action on the matter.
Failure to resolve the issue and prolonged lockdown, he added, will have a terrible impact on the country’s socioeconomic landscape, affecting the rakyat’s general wellbeing and happiness.

SMEs will face deteriorating outlook if Covid 19 persists and Lock down continues indefinitely
1) People cannot operate in Airlines, Tours and Hotels will continue to be hit hard
2) More people will hold back investments for fear of unknown
3) As profits dry up Companies cannot pay wages and will continue to retrench staff
4) Cheaper labour for lower cost industries also impacted but locals shun these lowly paid jobs. MCO lock-down prevent cheap labour to come back
5) The vicious cycle will erode the entire SMEs except for Exporting of Goods like E&E, Palm Oil, Petroleum & others which Malaysia still can compete
6) But generally it will lead to declension, downtrend & insolvencies
