Mr Ng Chee Whye is a Chartered Accountant with the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
He began his professional career with the Audit Services at KPMG in Auckland, New Zealand, gaining experience with clients from varied industries including manufacturing, wholesale and retail distribution, forestry, services, banking, pharmaceutical, chemical and construction.
Following which, he relocated closer to home to assume varied Senior Finance roles with various IT related entities in Singapore and Malaysia, namely HP, Creative Technology and EDS.
He then moved on to assume various CFO roles with Fund Management and Wealth Advisory entities associated with Prudential, AXA and Nexus.
In his various roles, he oversaw the overall entities financial management and performance reporting, developed financial policies, strategies and assessment tools, financial planning including budgeting and forecasting, feasibility analysis of mergers and acquisitions, key liaison role with regulators, auditors, bankers, outsourced services and other business associates.
In addition to the financial management roles, he also had oversight over Operations, IT, Human Resources and Admin functions.
