Lim Su May has more than 25 years of experience in the Malaysian capital market especially in the area of equity/debt promotion, advisory, structuring, execution and placements, merger & acquisition advisory and business matching, strategic planning & investments and most recently involved in development of policies.
She started her career in 1997 as an Executive in Corporate Finance of Perdana Merchant Bankers Berhad. From year 2000 to 2004, she joined Corporate Finance of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad as an Executive and was subsequently promoted as Manager in Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets. She had a short stint from year 2004 to 2005, as Assistant Vice President in RHB Investment Bank Berhad. Thereafter, she joined Alkhair International Islamic Bank Berhad as an Assistant Vice President and was promoted as Head of Strategic Planning & Direct Investments from year 2005 to 2009.
In the year 2009 to 2017, she owned a multidiscipline boutique consulting company focusing on business development, review and refine business plans, corporate and financial restructuring, business rationalisation and divestment, business matching and networking for market expansion.
In the year of 2011 to 2019, she was the Head of Investment Banking Department in MUFG Bank (Malaysia) Berhad. She assisted the Bank to diversify and grow its business in investment banking to provide an alternative funding solutions to clients as well as growing new clientele base.
She was the Executive Vice President, Listing Development of Bursa Malaysia Berhad from year June 2019 to June 2022. She headed the promotional/marketing and marketing development team tasked to promote both primary markets and secondary fund-raising activities on Bursa Malaysia Berhad as well as to spearhead initiatives that enhance the fund-raising ecosystem for Initial Public Offering aspirants and/or public listed companies.
