Datuk Wan Kassim started his career with in Messrs Kassim Chan, an audit firm in 1973 before joining Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad. Joined Shamelin Berhad for 10 years before starting his own management consultancy firm, United Kadila Sdn Bhd in 1984. He was formerly a Council Member of Majlis Perbandaran Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan from 1987 to 1991 and has also served as a board member of the Malaysian Tourism Development Board for 4 years from 1992 to 1996.
